A Note From Steve: Gratitude
Gratitude is My Attitude in 2025
I know you are supposed to do the gratitude thing on that other holiday. But as I look to the year ahead — to all the challenges I plan to crush and the goals I intend to achieve, I find myself reflecting on the genuine gratitude I have for my life, both personally and professionally.
I recognize how fortunate I am to be surrounded by great people and doing what I love. And in a funny way, the positive headspace that comes from thankfulness fuels my motivation.
So, it seems to me the perfect time to bust out some gratitude for the people who surround me and make what I do such a joy.

Just a few of many things I'm thankful for...
Ben (& Others In The Leadership Team)
Ben (and others) have been incredibly supportive of the Pokémon journey my family has been on this year. While we've traveled to tournaments around the world, the leadership team has covered for me, filling gaps and helping out. It's a great thing to feel supported, and I'm grateful to be able to spend time with my family.
Our Customers - Without Them We Don’t Have A Business
I know that might sound lame, but dang — it's so true. Without our customers, M Global wouldn't exist. I feel honored that our customers have placed their trust in us. I don't take that lightly, and I appreciate their business.
Getting To Do Something Professionally That Fills My Cup
I know there are plenty of people who can't say they enjoy what they do, but I am one of the lucky ones who can say that. Even when things aren't going smoothly, and we're facing a challenge, it's pretty cool to watch how things play out. I have so much confidence that we're going to knock it out of the park. Having a growth mindset through challenges is so satisfying.
The Awesome M Global Help Desk
I am constantly grateful for the M Global Help Desk crew. We couldn't do what we do if it weren't for their commitment to supporting each other and their willingness to collaborate. I love that we operate as a unified group — we've got each other's backs with no finger-pointing or drama. Instead, the standard is to treat one another with grace and respect even in the midst of difficult circumstances. It also doesn't hurt that they share my appetite for excellence, and they're all really good at what they do. It's sure something to have complete confidence in your team.
Being Authentic In The Digital Space
It takes courage to be yourself both professionally and personally, but it's freeing at the same time just being able to be yourself. I love that we lean into being who we are across both our content and interactions. I know it's rare and difficult, especially for really large companies, to be able to find a unified voice that's also a true and genuine representation of the people in the company. But we're doing it — sometimes we're a little off the wall and fun, but we've always got the backbone of expertise there, too.
Attitude Adjustment — Yes Please!
I know all this might sound cheesy, but I'm telling you — it works. I've been thinking quite a bit about perspective and how much a simple shift can change so much about my life and my attitude.
I'll admit that I can get stuck in the pattern of zooming in on the negative, with all the worries, concerns, and areas that could use some improvement. They seem to shout for my attention. But focusing on the good for a change doesn't just adjust my own attitude; it shifts the whole atmosphere around me. Here's to hoping 2025 is filled with plenty of stuff we can be grateful for. 🎉
